I am nominating my mom, Susan Lusby for being the Most Deserving Mom. In March of 2009 my mom lost her father rather suddenly. This was a big loss to our family but especially my mom. She and my uncles were left with dealing with the estate and all that goes along with that. During all this, my step -father, the love of my mom's life, was diagnosed with prostate and lung cancer. All of which they kept to themselves for a bit so my family could grieve my grandfather. In september of 09, they told my step - father that he needed a valve replaced rather quickly in his heart. My mom was by his side morning, noon, and night. During all of this my mom is still getting my son on and off the bus each day so I may work. My son has Autism and needs a little extra care, which my mom gives always with a smile. In October my step - dad returned to the hospital to have his lung removed.This was a very rough week. Again my mom never left his side. Still she found time for her family. Unfortunatly very soon after, my step-father lost his battle with cancer. This was my moms life.She lost her father in March and her husband in Novemebr. How she still gets up in the morning and faces the day ahead, I'll never know. She is still there for my brother, myself and my son whenever we need her. She never complains or feels sorry for herself. She is the strongest woman I know and can only wish to be as strong as her when I am her age. She means the world to us. She, by far, is the most deserving mom I know. I love you mom.
