BIG SKI GIVEAWAY RULES:
Contest: A random drawing of eligible entries for one (1) grand prize in the contest.
Entry: Viewers may enter the contest by completing an official entry blank available at Bikes & Boards, 4480 Commercial Drive, New Hartford NY, from November 27, 2012 to January 8, 2013. After completing the entry form, it must be deposited in the box located at the business location. Viewers may also enter on-line by filling out the electronic form available at wktv.com.
Deadlines: The deadline for entries submitted at the Bikes & Boards store location and electronically is January 9th, 2013 at 11:59 p.m.
Prizes: The Grand Prize is an Atomic All Mountain Nomad Ski Package including Skis, Bindings and Poles. The value of the Grand Prize is up to $1400. One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The random drawing will be completed electronically on January 11, 2013. The winner will be notified by phone and email. The winner’s name will be announced January 11, 2013 during the NEWSChannel 2 LIVE at Five Newshour and posted on WKTV.COM.
Eligibility: Contestants must be legal U.S. residents, 18 years or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
Conditions:
No purchase necessary to enter or win.
The odds of winning depend on the number of correct entries received. A purchase will not increase chances of winning.
Contest winner must take possession of the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize is non-transferable. Contest winner will be responsible for making all arrangements with Bikes & Boards for selection and receipt of the Grand Prize. Contest winner must present a valid form of picture identification to claim prize.
Winner is responsible for payment of all federal, state and local taxes on the prize and for any other expenses not specified herein, and relating to the acceptance and use of their prize. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or equivalent.
Employees of WKTV, Smith Media License Holdings, LLC, and their immediate families and Bike & Boards and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win.
By participating in the contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.
The winner may be required to sign a liability release prior to accepting the Grand Prize and agree to hold WKTV, its corporate licensee, Smith Media License Holding, LLC, its corporate parent, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them, harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
Neither WKTV, its corporate licensee, Smith Media License Holding, LLC, its corporate parent, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them, are responsible for printing or typographical errors in any contest related materials or for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible entries.
WKTV, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the WKTV Web Site or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. The station further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification at the sole discretion of WKTV.
WKTV reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.
The contest is void where prohibited.
Copies of the written contest rules are available during regular business hours at the main studio of WKTV 5936 Smith Hill Road, Utica, NY 13502.
All decisions of the WKTV contest coordinator are final.
